The Knox Music Series of Knox Presbyterian Church

A fund of the Cambridge Charitable Foundation gave a grant to The Knox Music Series, which is a community outreach program of Cincinnati's Knox Presbyterian Church. This grant was used to support the professional orchestra and marketing/publicity expenses for the production of J.S. Bach's complete Christmas Oratorio, which was performed on December 17, 2011. This program was a massive undertaking of a monumental work that normally would only be done in major international cities with historic cultural traditions such as Berlin, London or New York City.

The mission of the music series is to engage members of the Greater Cincinnati area with free performances of high artistic quality sacred choral/orchestral masterworks and organ concertos. Wide community support is evidenced by standing room only productions and a diverse audience in attendance.
