Twin Towers and Twin Lakes

Twin Towers and Twin Lakes, Life Enriching Communities

Twin Towers Senior Living Community has an in-door Aviary on the third floor of its Health Pavilion that was made possible by generous donations from a fund of the Cambridge Charitable Foundation. The community now has three aviaries. Residents love the birds and enjoy discovering the habits and traits of each species. Several residents are now becoming bird experts. Besides being fun for the residents, the aviary offers therapeutic value and is in keeping with the Eden Philosophy of Care at Twin Towers.

Another grant was recently given to Twin Towers for a greenhouse project. Gardening lifts the spirit, brings people together, relieves isolation of many elderly citizens, and brings new friendships and skills into their lives.

Twin Lakes Peace Mosaic

Twin Lakes at Montgomery received a grant through a fund of the Cambridge Charitable Foundation to help fund the creation and installation of a Peace Garden Mosaic for their residents to enjoy. Residents and community volunteers labored over five months to create the work that is entitled “The Four Seasons”. The grant paid the artist and the materials provided. This project instills the intrinsic worth of art appreciation and creative expression. Campus visitors, residents and associates all benefit from reflecting on the “story” embedded in the finished mosaic as they spend time in the Peace Garden.
